Electric Chimney Climbing Santa Claus

My wife saw one of these during her daily adventures on FB and immediately had to have one. I had to put my foot down on all this holiday spending… and then I immediately caved in, found this item, and ordered it. Yep, I showed her who the boss is! LOLWhen this item arrived, I noticed most of the instructions on how to operate the climbing Santa were written on the outside of the box. I pulled Santa out of the box and untangled the chain of beads, which are already threaded through Santa, and went searching for the battery compartment and on/off switch. Just as the instructions stated, I found everything I needed tucked beneath Santa’s coat and pants on the backside. This item needs 3 AA batteries (batteries not included). I loaded 3 batteries and was ready to go. The on off switch is a 3-way switch with a position to make Santa climb while playing music, the center position is the OFF position, and the last position makes Santa climb with the music muted. When powered on, Santa’s head glows and his arms and legs move up and down to simulate climbing a rope, or in this case, a chain of beads. Santa moves rather quickly up and down the chain, I suppose because he has a lot of work to do and needs to move pretty fast, so be ready when you flip the switch on. This item has a small loop and Christmas tree at the top of the chain for hanging this ornament. There is a tiny bell on the bottom of the chain. My wife was thrilled to have her ornament and if she is happy, then I am happy! Apparently, our dogs are happy too! We truly enjoy watching Santa go up and down the chain next to our Christmas tree. Yes, my wife is a November 1st decorator, so we have early access to the season. If you like animated decorations, you will like this.

It’s so cute, instruction on box don’t really tell how to turn on , I had to get on internet to find out it’s on butt, need to improve that, otherwise it’s worth the money

I have seen and used a variety of these climbing Santas over the years and I must say this is one of the better ones. The detailed artistry is much better than other versions and this Santa actually climbs! I'm sorry to say the music just annoys me, but that is not exclusive to this one... all of them! Thankfully, this one enables you to use Santa without the blaring music. That alone is worth 5 stars! My kids have a lot of fun, playing with this Santa and honestly with all the rough-housing my kids do, I am happily surprised to see how durable it is and how nothing seems to stop Santa from keeping on climbing.

Another great vintage Christmas find.Very straightforward and easy to operate.Battery operated- switch to the right Santa starts climbing with music, switch to the left and he climbs without music. The music is a little loud and fast, so we’ll probe opt for the left switch position.He functions very well, climbs easily and smoothly, no glitches observed.His facial coloring and features are a little off imo but it’s still an adorable piece the all kids big and small are sure to love. Priced right, making it a great value.

This thing is great! Hilarious! I love it, the kids really love it and the dogs hate it! I wish I had 3 more!
